I am new here and a newbie in Android also. I am very interested in
Android game development; however, currently I don't know where and
how to start except the http://developer.android.com .

Hence, could some one tell me some useful tutorial or resources
particularly for game development?

And I am wondering that are there any good 2D, 3D game engine
available for Android (open source or commercial are also acceptable).

I appreciate any help, and thank you in advance!

 Here's a recent thread that discussed 2D game engines:

1. View Activity for an image resource

I have an static image that I want to include as a resource. I tried
creating a ImageView for viewing that image, but I get the impression
that I'd have to re-implement zoom/scroll in order to zoom/scroll.
Instead, I decided to try to use the default image viewer by starting
an intent:

note: I have the image duplicated at both /drawable and /raw

Intent i= new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW));//or just new Intent();
//OR i.setDataAndType(Uri.parse("android.resource://<package>/raw/

I've tried several variations, but every time I fail to find a an
Activity satisfying the intent.

2. Using internal API

Is it possible to use com.android.internal.telephony.* API in
application? I would really need to use some classes from there, since
there is no other way I can make my app answer incoming call, send dtmf
and etc.
