 Hi I am trying create a new android project frm an existing (working
demo), as soon as I import there comes an error
"[2011-05-19 12:45:59 -
com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.project.AndroidManifestHelper]
Unable to read D:\Profiles\fcht84\My Documents\Downloads\andr\android-
sdk-windows\AndroidManifest.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:
\Profiles\fcht84\My Documents\Downloads\andr\android-sdk-windows
\AndroidManifest.xml (The system cannot find the file specified)

sdk-windows\AndroidManifest.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:

\AndroidManifest.xml (The system cannot find the file specified)
."

After that I try to do clean and rebuild, the error this time is
"UNEXPECTED TOP-LEVEL EXCEPTION:java.util.zip.ZipException: error in
opening zip file android eclipse ....." and finalyy "Conversion to
Dalvik format failed with error 1"

I also tried recreating the project by deleting the existing contents
but the same error is repeating again. May you let me know what might
be a possible solution, in build path unmarked all expect x.y. Mya
Anyone suggest where I am going wrong??

 It sounds like you have a corrupted zip file.

1. Alarm Manager doesn't seem to wake up after a force stop.

Hi

I have read posts, some dating back to 2009 about alarm manager.

I have an alarm manager setup. It works fine. But "Settings-
seem to remove the alarm too.

Some posts seems to say that after the app is killed alarm manger
should work fine. Not for me. Am I missin somethin? or its an expected
behavior?

My Code is:

Intent intentAlarm      = new Intent(MyService.this,
MyBroadcastReceiver.class);
intentAlarm.setAction(TEST_ALARM_SERVICE); //I receive this event in
the receiver

PendingIntent sender = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(MyService.this, 0,
intentAlarm, 0);
AlarmManager am     = (AlarmManager)getSystemService(ALARM_SERVICE);

am.setRepeating(AlarmManager.ELAPSED_REALTIME, myFirstTime,
myAlramInterval, sender);

Thank you
Jacob

2. how to set margin or padding between buttons

I have a row of Buttons that are added dynamically to a TableRow in
code. We are inserting space by creating Views to put between
Buttons. Is there a lighter weight way to accomplish that? Button
doesn't support margin and padding goes inside the button.
