1. How to use broadcast receivers

Is it possible to use just a broadcast receiver without any
activities? I just want to run some sample code only when the phone
receives a call and nothing more. I use Log.d to write out but I don't
see anything in the log. Am I missing something here? I also have
permissions set in the androidmanifest.xml to allow for these type of
intents.

Please advise.

2. Where onItemClick gets called as callback?

HiHo!

No, I am not asking that. I ask:

I expect something like:

a_file_in_kernel_for_ListView.c:
...
if (interrupt_from_device) {
        o = getObjectHitByPointer ();
}
...
for (i = 0; i < listenerCount; i++) {

        onItemClickObjects[i].getOnItemClickListener().onItemClick(

                getParentOfThisRow(onItemClickObjects[i]),
                getRowOfThisListener(onItemClickObjects[i]
                        .getOnItemClickListener()),
                positionOfThisRow,
                idOfThisRow
        );
}
