 I am using Honeycomb , and whenever i call the GetFrameAtTime method
the same (first) frame from the video is returned regardless of the
paramaters i use

getFrameAtTime(long timeUs, int option)

for the first paramater I have been using values int the range (0,
1*METADATA_KEY_DURATION) and in the range (0,
1000*METADATA_KEY_DURATION) ( thinking to convert from milli to micro
seconds)

and MediaMetadataRetriever.OPTION_CLOSEST;

any assistance would be appreciated

thank you

1. is charset decoding terminal dependant?? (UTF8/iso-8859-1 question)

Hello,

I'm having troubles to correctly display strings with "" "" ... characters
extracted from an html page (iso-8859-1).
I am reading the html page as iso-8859-1 (using xerces XMLInputSource(null,
null, null, myHTTPRequestContent, "iso-8859-1"), searching and extracting
some specific strings with a nekohtml sax filter, then display the result in
some view with something like:

myString.getBytes("iso-8859-1")

This is working pretty good on some devices, but in some other, like all my
AVD, the french "" "" etc. characters are incorrectly displayed. More
strangely, it is working on my HTC Hero, but not on my wife's own HTC Hero
(not bought at same place). I tried to change the locale to "french" on the
AVD but it did not changed anything.

On these devices, it seems that using directly myString ( or
myString.getBytes("UTF8") ) is correct.

I see other applications that seems to handle this issue by providing an
option "force UTF8", but i would prefer definitly a generic one!

Any clue?

2. Can someone test my app on the Nexus One and Droid?

I published an app that works in all the emulators I've tried and on
the two Android phones that I've tried. I've got the Droid and my
wife has the Eris. This morning I received the OTA update to 2.1 and
now all the fonts in my app are REALLY tiny and unreadable. My app
looks fine in the 2.1 emulator, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Does anyone know anything about this problem? I'd appreciate it if
people would try my app on the following phones and let me know if the
fonts are OK.

* Droid before 2.1 update
* Droid after 2.1 update
* Nexus One

The app is called "Just GPS" by "42 Productions" and is free in the
Android market.

Thanks,

Isaac
