 Is it gone or actually it never appeared because it was not approved.
Is there some moderation process behind the scene? If it is, I would
love to be let known that my question is thrown into junk.

This is really annoying. It happened to me before.
I actually thought I was drunk or so, so maybe I didn't even send it,
but as I was writing subject for this message, my list night subject
popped out in the suggestion dropdown. I tried to search this subject
line and it is nowhere to find.

This was my subject line: "onSaveInstanceState problem while making
oAuth request"

Thanks.

 I can see it, as well as TreKing's reply. I am using Thunderbird to read
this group over email (POP3).

It's also in the android-developers group archive if you do a Google web
search:

 http://www.google.com/search?q=onSaveInstanceState +problem+while+making+oAuth+request

However, Goolge Groups doesn't find the message:

 Thanks. You are right.
I can find it if I search Google for "onSaveInstanceState problem
while making
oAuth request". But if I search this group, I can't. Also, if I search
group for all posts done by me it's not showing again.
Weird...

But thanks.

 Basically, Google Groups sux. Things come and go and change order
with considerable randomness.

The online interface to Google Groups is useless (supposedly it's getting a
revamp). I highly recommend you use Gmail with labels and filters.

1. How to build 2 projects in on apk?

Why would you build a server side service into the apk? It would be deployed
on the server side. If you want one project for both pieces you will need to
modify the build file to only put android code in APK and separate target for
building WAR and deploying it to server.

2. the behavior of "singleTask" not consistent with the document?

Hi,

I have an app with two activities, one of which the launchmode is set
to "singleTask". From the Android dev guide, I got the impression
that my SingleTaskActivity should start a new task (or reuse an old
task) and always sit at the root of the stack when launched. However,
it's inconsistent with the behavior of the app if I follow the steps
below:
- launch StandardActivity from home
- click the "home" key
- launch SingleTaskActivity from home, you will see it's in the
foreground as expected
- click the "Back" key, StandardActivity comes to the foreground
whereas I expect to see the home screen because SingleTaskActivity is
supposed to be at the ROOT of the stack. It appears
SingleTaskActivity was launched into the task that StandardActivity
started, rather than starting its own task.

Is my understanding about the "singleTask" launch mode correct?
Thanks,

-

PS:

=== The Android Dev guide (http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/
manifest/activity-element.html#lmode) says:

In contrast, "singleTask" and "singleInstance" activities can only
begin a task. They are always at the root of the activity stack.
Moreover, the device can hold only one instance of the activity at a
time only one such task.

=== My AndroidManifest.xml file:
    <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/
app_name">
        <activity android:name=".StandardActivity"
                  android:label="Standard">
            <intent-filter>
                <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
                <category
android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
            </intent-filter>
        </activity>
        <activity android:name=".SingleTaskActivity"
                  android:label="ActivitySingleTask"
                  android:launchMode="singleTask"
                  >
            <intent-filter>
                <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
                <category
android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
            </intent-filter>
        </activity>
    </application>
