I was at Google I/O and used the giant Android device

Is there any way to buy/get one of these for my classroom? I teach
mobile App/Game development and would LOVE to be able to use this in
my class.

LOL. I'd say it's just a TV with a fancy surround and it's mirroring
the device's display via HDMI.

It probably also has a working touch screen. I don't know about that
particular one, but the ones being build I know of had a touch screen.

1. Auto correct fail on soft keyboard

I set the editText with these flag

EditorInfo.TYPE_CLASS_TEXT|EditorInfo.TYPE_TEXT_FLAG_CAP_SENTENCES|
EditorInfo.TYPE_TEXT_FLAG_AUTO_COMPLETE|
EditorInfo.TYPE_TEXT_FLAG_AUTO_CORRECT

And it works when I type in with my computer keyboard( the application
is running in a emulator).

But it fails when I click the editText and type in with the emulator,
the auto correct function doesn't work at all.

If I type in: what i cant do is giving up.

In hard keyboard, it is: What I can't do is giving up.
In soft keyboard, it is: what i cant do is giving up.

Is there anything else I must set? Thanks!

2. pppd dns problem

Hi all,

I have tried to make an internet connection for android x86 on my
netbook... Using umts module provided, I have managed to make a
connection by using pppd... There exists a ppp0 device after running
pppd and it is possible to ping using external ip adresses of internet
sites, however when I try to ping with the name of the site, there
occurs an "bad address" problem...

Did anyone solve such a problem so far ?

Regards ...
