Drag and drop in a web application?

Anyone know how it can be supported for web pages in Android browser?

Typically it is pretty straight-forward to support using a combination of
the mouseDown, mouseMove, and mouseUp events. The default behavior in the
Android web browser, however, is to drag the document itself. It looks like
it should be possible, however, since Google maps drag behavior functions as
expected.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Keith

Okay I found a solution which maps touch events to mouse events and seems to
do the trick. In case anyone is interested, here is the link:

1. Importing a layout xml file from a remote server

Is this possible? Can I import an android layout xml file from a
remote server, and use it within the application (without writing my
own parser)? If not, is there an easy way to parse out a remote xml
file and create a layout on the fly?

Thanks,

James
