 Hi,

I have extended a GridView and Override onTouchEven() function to
achieve onTouch and onLongTouch functionality for GridView items. But
I found the extended GridView is no longer scrollable when I fling it
or try to move up or down.

Suppose it should keep is scroll functionality if I don't Overried it.
Can any one let me know what I am missing here and what I have to do
for keeping other functions as it is in a Gridview.

Thanks & Kind regards,
argon

1. Accelerometer sensitivity: very very high?

I'm fiddling with a toy 'lightsaber' type application. I've got some
sounds happening, and I've connected successfully with the
accelerometer. Unfortunately, it appears that it's sufficiently
sensitive that playing a sound yields readings of 4 and 5 M/s in X and
Y. This means that any sound playing generates enough "acceleration"
that another swing-noise is called for.

Anybody else trying to do something similar? Any accelerator
examples out there based on 1.0 code?

This is the meat of what I'm doing:

         public void onSensorChanged(int sensor, float[] values) {
                 reps++;
                 dAbs =  Math.abs( aX -(float)values[SensorManager.DATA_X] ) +
                 Math.abs( aY -(float)values[SensorManager.DATA_Y] ) +
                 Math.abs( aZ -(float)values[SensorManager.DATA_Z] );

                 aX = values[SensorManager.DATA_X];
                 aY = values[SensorManager.DATA_Y];
                 aZ = values[SensorManager.DATA_Z];
                 Saber.StatusArea.setText(
                                 (CharSequence)
                                 String.format("woo! [%4.2f,%4.2f,%4.2f]
[%4.2f] [%d]",
                                                 aX,aY,aZ, dAbs, reps));
        if (amion == true &&
                        dAbs > 2 &&
                        ( ! Saber.swing.isPlaying() )
        ) { Saber.swing.start(); }
}

2. T-Mobile G1 magnetometer

Hi,

I am considering purchase of T-Mobile G1 for android software
development. I know that android api provides interface to
magnetometers. I would like to ask if magnetometers are physically
present in T-Mobile G1 device?

Kind Regards,
