 Hi All,

Is there any "official" support for Samsung SGH i900 aka Omnia?

I saw patches on arm-linux-kernel mail list: [PATCH 1/2] [ARM] pxa/
sgh_i900: Basic support for the Samsung SGH-i900 (Omnia) phone

Best regards,

 Hi Ruckuus,

They don't support for SGH i900 officially.
Refer to below files.
Good luck.

2009/7/24 Lim,GeunSik <>

Thank you for exact pointer..

BTW, I extracted my own userland from SDK 1.5 and using iPAQ 241 kernel, and
I am able to boot Android on Omnia. From first trial, It lacks of phone
functionality (and it is normal, same with me with i.MX31 last time).

One question, Is there anyone trying to debug from Android shell?

By changing haRET's default.txt

set cmdline "root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 ramdisk_size=8192 rootdelay=5 rootwait rw
init=/init lpj=loops_per_jiffy boot_delay=100 console=ttySXXX,57600n8 debug"

I assume, by doing this (and also assume that serial driver for iPAQ or
sgh-i900 is working or at least using serial for PXA3XXX also working fine),
we could get Android console.

I saw there is serial cable for Omnia, but I didn't find it yet.

Is there any kernel config to share?

I wrongly assume that haret uses my new kernel, in fact _NO_, it uses
the kernel Image in that package ("Image").

Thanks in advance,

Hi Gayett, My doubts are not yet cleared...plz start a new topic
instead of modifying mine & if possible, do answer my query.

2. REG: Xml to Wbxml using EAS.

Dear friends,

I need to convert from Xml to Wbxml for Client-Server Communication
using AirSynC (Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Protocol).

I found XML to WBXML parsers available in ../dalvik/libcore/xml/src/
main/java/org/kxml2 but there was no official documentation regarding
these apis.

Inbuilt Google IM Application available in ../packages/apps/IM makes
use of separate XML<-->WBXML parsers instead of using existing
org.kxml2 package listed above

and makes use of Native call for SynCML Tag Table mapping.

My doubts are as follows:

1. Why ../dalvik/libcore/xml/src/main/java/org/kxml2 docs aren
available, is it still in development stage?
2. Why Inbuilt IM Application has gone for Native Code and own Parsers
instead of using ../dalvik/libcore/xml/src/main/java/org/kxml2 apis?
3. In ../dalvik/libcore/xml/src/main/java/org/ package, Support for
SynCML, WV & WML. Could I get the sample Codes using these apis?

Once I get the sample for SyncML , I need to change the XML<-->WBXML
mapping based on AirSync(EAS) instead of XML.

Please guide me.
