Hi, I got my first android phone since two week
And I'm starting my first real App.
My phone is a LG Optimus 2X and one of the missing thing is a
notification led for when there is a missed call, sms, email ect ...

So I'm wondering what's the best way to do this.

For know I've a broatcastreceiver for incoming sms, and the I call a
service that will light the phone buttons (don't bother about this
part, it's working).
But seems that this method will workin only for sms, phone calls, not
emails.

So know I'm thinking to used Listeners instead for everything, but
this mean having a service running nonstop. Not sure it's the best
way ...

I hope I'm clear, and that my ennglish is not too bad.
Thx in advance
Cyril

1. eclipse is not talking to android

Hi all,
I am beginner for andriod and more over I do not have a direct
connectivity to Internet from my system, so once I installed android
on my system and went to eclipse. Here is the steps that I followed.

Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede)

   1. Start Eclipse, then select Help > Software Updates....
   2. In the dialog that appears, click the Available Software tab.
   3. Click Add Site...
   4. Enter this as the Location:

      https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
--> Clearly this step requires an Internet connection which I don't
have. So again I searched the net for help and found that it actually
uses site.xml file for metadat information and then I downloaded two
patched that were mwnetioned in site, xml along with site.xml
I edited manually site.xml to point to my local system for the two
patches and give its location to Add Site.
  Still it didn't work.
Is there a way arround this problem? Please help me.
regards
kelly

2. If the bluetooth is build as module not build in, where is better to insmod it

rfkill increments when u do a insmod & rmmod, so bluetooth.c should keep
looping around till it finds the right bluetooth sys fs entry, doesn't seem
so good insn't it ?

built-in is probably better ...
