For subscribers without data plan (voice only), do mobile operators
(e.g. t-mobile) still let their G1 browse and download apps (e.g.
games which don't require connection) from the Market?

If so I would think I need to make 2 versions of my app. One that
does not require internet and one that uses internet to check for

I am just trying to get a simple Hello World app out the door and I
cant seem to do so.

I ran the activity creator for TestAppTwo:

"sudo /android-sdk-mac_x86-1.0_r1/tools/activitycreator --out NewApp"

works fine. I go in and change res/layout/main.xml - the inside of one
element from "Hello World, TestAppTwo" to "Hello World!".

then I go and try to build it...

Buildfile: build.xml

[echo] Creating output directories if needed...

/Users/austonbunsen/TestAppTwo/build.xml:103: Directory /Users/
austonbunsen/TestAppTwo/bin/classes creation was not successful for an
unknown reason

My assumption is (im not a JAVA dev at heart, that ..xml:103:" is
referring to line 103 in the build.xml file which is related to making
directories. This is where I am stuck? Why cant it create directories?

Do I need to sudo the ant command?

2. APIDemo icon gone

Hi all

I run Android 1.0-r1 on freescale mx31 3stack board.
Sometimes the APIDemo icon will gone, can not bring it back anymore,
only after flashing the system.img and data.img into the NAND flash
again. What happens? Lost some datas in the /data?

BTW: The kernel is ported by us based on 2.6.25 patch, the system/data
image is from 1.0-r1 SDK package. system partition uses cramfs, data
partition use jffs2.
