I would like do decrease the height of my seekbar. I tried for hours
but I just do not get it. I use a custom drawable so I guess that
this is the place to specify the size:

<shape xmlns:android="" ;
   <gradient android:startColor="@color/player_seek_bar_2"
   <size android:width="50dp" android:height="50dp"/>
   <stroke android:width="2dp" android:color="#FFFFFFFF"/>
   <corners android:radius="3dp" />

However, modifying the size attributes has no effect. Adjusting the
size attributes in the layout file changes the size only by clipping
the seekbar. This is may layout:

<SeekBar android:id="@+id/progressSeekBar"

ProgressBar / SeekBar Height

hi ,

      I have modify the seekbar size of height, you can read of it that
source code res/style.xml,
where located in ANDROID_HOME/tools/lib/res/default/values/style.xml
What I means,you need to modify the seekbar style and override old style.
default style:

false

20dip

20dip

@android:drawable/seek_thumb

8px

You try it. Thanks.

Other Threads

1. TextView - line break

Is it possible to make TextView to break words in the middle and then
move to another line, instead moving whole word that doesn't fit to
the new line  ?
I have a width and number of lines of the TextView and a long string
and want to calculate which portion of the String will fit exactly.
the code is
                TextView vTextShort = (TextView) findViewById
                int lineHeight = vTextShort.getLineHeight();
                int nmbLines = mesuredHeight / lineHeight;
                Paint mPaint = vTextShort.getPaint();
                String shortTextStr = mStoryText;
                mStoryBreakIdx = 0;
                vTextShort.setLines(nmbLines );
                int breakText = mPaint.breakText(mStoryText.toCharArray(), 0,
mStoryText.length(), mesuredWidth, null);
                mStoryBreakIdx = breakText * nmbLines;
It seems to calculate number of chars accurately but not accounting
for the space that left after word is moved to a new line if it
doesn't fit fully.
And i'm looking on how to either break words in the middle or how
calculate a width of the text that will fit correctly.
