 Hi,
The spinner is binded with data's from from database using
SimpleCursorAdapter
and to display the selected data I used the method as below

   textview.setText(spinner.getSelectedItem().toString())

this gives me an out put like
android.database.sqlite.sqlitecur...@437451a0

Is this the right way to get the selected data?

1. Very slow startup of app on first run

Hi everyone,

I have an app that is around 3.8 megs, with a lot of that size being
png graphics. When I install the apk on the device the first run of
the app takes a very long time, around 30 seconds. After that first
run the startup is nearly instant. Is there something I can do to
speed that first run up? Is this something a user would experience
when downloading the app from the marketplace?

As a side note, I'm using the build.xml as generated by
createactivity.py to build and install the apk.

Thanks for any assistance.
Matt

2. How do I create the type of dialog seen here -- Info + Listview

Hi all,

I saw a neat dialog control that seems to be a mix of a regular info
dialog and a listview. A screenshot of the exact type of control is
here :

http://nofelt.com/android_dialog_control.jpg

Is this a default dialog type or a composite that I need to roll
myself? Is possible please point me to specific controls or whatever
template xml would be appropriate (a complete sample or reference
would be amazing).

Thanks in advance!
