I am in Hongkong and get the seeding program email at beginning of Mar,
then I submited my info and get confirmation at 12th Mar, the confirmation
said I would get the device in 2-4 weeks, but until now, I DID NOT get it, I
sent email to the seeding program email address, but the guy reply me said:
all the device were shipped already, I should patient and waiting the
device. but know 5 weeks past, I still did not get it. Does anybody in HK
get the device? how long you get it after the confirmation email?

  Thanks & Regards

1. adding a custom class to the android source

I am working directly with the android source and attempting to add my
own class, Slider, extending LinearLayout. I am having trouble adding
a Slider element to an xml layout.

The package I created is called test.slider

I have defined all of the resources (drawable, values, string, etc) in

I used aapt to build the resource (.R) file, test.slider.R with this

aapt p -f -M AndroidManifest.xml -S test/slider/res -I $SDKDIR/
android.jar -F out/target/common/R

Question 1: Because I am using the android source, I did not know
what libraries to include, so I included the android.jar file from the
SDK. I assume this could be a problem. What libraries should I be
including here?

The test.slider.R file seems to be produced fine.

Question 2: When using Slider in an xml layout file, do I need to use
a new namespace such as xmlns:slider="
res/test.slider" to access the attributes of the Slider class? I ask
this because when I try to build, it cannot find the attributes (I've
tried using the new namespace above and the normal android namespace).

Those are the only 2 specific questions. Any other suggestions to
help me along the way would be greatly appreciated. The class works
fine when used in a stand-alone application, however, I am having
trouble getting it to work in conjunction with the source.

Thank you for any help!

2. Loading DEX files at runtime from SDCARD - Possible?

Sorry, this is not currently supported.

And you really really wouldn't want to do this, because it would allow any
other app installed on the device to take over your own and use any of its
permissions for malicious purposes under the guise of being you.
