 Hi,

I am trying to start a new Activity from my Activity. For this am
creating an intent as

Intent sendIntent = new Intent(this,Newactivity.class);
startActivity(sendIntent);

With the above i am able to launch my new Intent.
If I want to send some data from Current Activity to the Newactivity
(Where my Newactivity have a text box). The data i send from
CurrentActivity to Newactivity should be displayed in this text box.

Can anyone help me out how to do this ?

Thanks.

You'll want to use the "extras" in Intents. Look at putExtra() and the
corresponding getXXXExtra() (where XXX is some data type).

 To your Intent add the data using
putExtra()
method and in the second activity in which u want to display use
getIntent().get.Extra()
 to retrieve ur data n then display

1. No Future Support for JNI

JNI is working fine in the first release of Android
SDK & we tested.
If JNI is not supported in future releases then the Android phones
will not be able to RUN lot of Application written in JSR.
Currently there are so many free java apps written in JSR(e.g by using
JSR135, JSR180 etc) which rely on the platforms native API to realise.
                 Also lot of intelligent code has already been
wriiten in C, C++ by many phone companies like Motorola, Nokia which
are very tested & already in production phones. In future if they want
to leverage these codes thru java apps to Android platform, it wld not be
possible
without JNI or something similar to it.
