I found the name of the contacts group can not contain a slash "/"
character. Otherwise, Android can't sync correctly(It says "The XXXX
group is empty"). Is it a bug or a rule?

1. noser android comments??

noser offers limestone with android @2000Euro. Can the team first
develop on SDK provided here in google and then purchase the noser
product to fine tune things or is it must to buy the product HW
platform on which the PDA is coming up?

i am talking here may be porting of applications from one android to
another android? mind it this noser product does not have phone
capability(search limestone pda kit) which i may add externally from
3Gmodem chipsets.

i need to make decision on should i buy it or use google SDK for basic
application development and test on laptop with the 3Gmodem for
internet based connectivity apps?

2. Volume Button Broadcast?

I've got a service running that is playing an alarm. Ideally, I'd like
to stop the alarm playback when one of the volume buttons is pressed
(just like the regular ringer). I don't think I can override
dispatchKeyEvent() because it is within a service, but is there any
type of BroadcastReceiver I can use? i don't want to register it in
the manifest but rather in the code, as soon as the alarm starts
playing (and unregister as soon as it stops). Any ideas? I'm kind of
stumped.
