missed calls

 Hi all,
I've had a lot of trouble with missed calls on my G1

I returned one unit but the replacement still has the same problem.

I often miss calls (no ring, no sms notification, no voicemail notification)

I'm just sitting here at work with a strong signal.

I've read some suggestion that this may be to do with auto-sync (so I've
just turned this off now)

Could some applications be blocking calls?

Is this a widespread issue?

Or do I just have another dodgy handset?

missed calls

FWIW here are some of my problems:

- missed calls, w/o any trail of them (i.e. a friend swears he'd
called me, but I don't have a missed call from him in the log)

- as of update 1.1 (*don't* you dare tell me it's not from the update
because I started experienced this the MINUTE after the update !!!) I
have a hard time answering and placing calls - I have to continuously
press the dial/hang up buttons for about ~5 secs

- abrupt call ends - i.e. while I'm talking to someone else the call
would just end - it's not the network because then I can grab my
wife's phone for example and talk as much as I want w/o interruptions

well it's obviously not just me then. But surely it can't be that common
or everyone would be posting about it?!

well this happened to me before update 1.1

I've never had dropped calls

2. android.R.drawable.ic_menu_home - can not use

We don't recommend using the built-in icons. This has already been
discussed fairly in-depth here, but the basic answer is: unless there is a
standard icon to cover every one of your menus (unlikely, unless we have a
huge number of icons in the platform, which we do not want), then you end up
with the worse situation of the icons in your app being inconsistent because
they are a mix of your own and the built-in ones.
