Msnbc, Rabu (17/3/2010), pesona iPhone memang kian bersinar, demikian pula
ponsel Android. Sehingga merek-merek ini dinilai bisa merongrong kejayaan

Lalu, bagaimana dengan Anda? Setiakah Anda dengan smartphone yang Anda
gunakan saat ini? *( faw / ash )*

1. Is the valid cert store available (or viewable)?

Sorry if wrong group; I'm trying to track this issue down, and I'm not
sure if it's a general Android issue, or a specific implementation
(G1) one. I'm trying to connect to my personal IMAP SSL mailbox, and I
keep getting a "Cannot safely connect to server: (Not trusted server
certificate)" message. I don't use a self-signed cert; it's a StartSSL
Class 1 (free) cert. That's a trusted certifier in the FF3 store, but
apparently not on the G1 and/or Android in general. What's the easiest
way to see the cert list, and is there any (user) way to add?

Thanks! And again, I apologize if wrong group...I'm trying to see if I
need to reroute this now.

2. I have an idea but don't know where to start

I have only just started looking into Android to help realise an idea.
Now I've searched through the groups and haven't found this mentioned

Basic Idea: "Place of interest - direction finder". I want to be able
to find the direction of my place of interest, in relation to my
compass bearings, North South West East (i.e. digital compass) and
have the phone draw the direction I should be headed for, toward my
place of interest.

Now because the android platform will provide GPS, Google Maps and
have a built in accelerometer - I'm thinking this would be possible to
do on Android.

A real world example of devices that do something similar already, but
these are custom built devices - is for finding the Qibla/Kaaba
direction in Mecca that muslims would need to turn to for praying.
Most people rely on analog compass, a few companies have made special
devices for this purpose - but imagine if this application was
supported by Android, it will be an instant hit potentially being used
by hundreds of people. This is just one example, I'm expecting the
application to be more generic though.

Idea aside, I'm looking for direction/advice on what aspects of the
SDK I should be learning.
