Have you added the INTERNET permission?

Also make sure you have a maps key, the error message you are getting
look unrelated, but just check that to make sure.

i did both these already...

my i got map API and put all permissions in manifest

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"/>
<uses-permission
android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" />
<uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps" />

still its showing his error, what may be the reason..

You could try adding the permission for course location but to be
honest it doesn't work on my emulator so once I got it working on an
actual device I just left it.

hanks MrChaz for your reply.

So this issue is not for me alone. Earlier I put "Coarse location"
only, and is not working, so I just changed to "Fine location", still
its not working. I am trying this for some time. Now, I will put both
and will try, want to see any difference is there.

Thanks

  can use maps fine in the emulator.

You have the perms right, and you are pulling in the maps application,
but you didn't say whether or not you have your key, and are using it
in the layout file. You do have the key though right? And in your
MapView layout file you have android:apiKey with that value, right?

"In order to display Google Maps data in a MapView, you must register
with the Google Maps service and obtain a Maps API Key. For
information about how to get a Maps API Key, see Obtaining a Maps API
Key.
Once you have a Maps API Key, you need to reference it from a special
attribute -- android:apiKey -- in the MapView element in the XML
layout. If you are instantiating a MapView directly from code, you
should pass the Maps API Key in the MapView constructor. "

hanks a lot Charlie Collins,

What is the mistake I did is, I already have the MAP API key, but in
my XML, some letters of the key are missing, After you said, I again
checked and found out that. Now perfectly alright.

Thanks
Nithin

Did you add the apiKey in your mapview?

1. Hadits Arbain 10 bahasa RC

Hmm, testing dulu ahh :)

@lutfihidayatr
im not a google defender but i always love google innovation

dear All,

Indonesia, jepang sampai Rusia
2. stream audio recitation yang sangat Indah (ini beneran, yang baca
hadistnya suaranya memang bagus banget [?])
3. Gratis (yang lainnya juga gratis sih :D )
4. video demo di youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUXOXRUeltQ (simple
banget, gak ada splash screen, cuma ada menu settings + about [?])

*warning:*
data audio di stream, jadi pastikan anda langganan data-plan /koneksi ke
provider, biar pulsa gak habis (meski ukuran masing audio tiap hadist kecil,
tapi data tidak disimpan di sdcard).

mohon email saya, jika menemukan salah terjemah (typo atau salah) maupun
bugs.

semoga bermanfaat bagi semuanya :)

catatan:

2. ArrayIndexOutOfBoundException while reading the file

hello everybody, I am developing one application in that I am reading
one file in parts (I am reading 102400 bytes at a time ) and sending
it to server. size of file is more than 5mb. I had write following
method to read the file

public void readFile()
     {
          try
          {
              int size = (int)myFile.length();
              noOfChunks = (size/102400);
              noOfChunks = noOfChunks+1;
              System.out.println ("size of file is "+size);

              System.out.println ("size is"+noOfChunks);
              FileInputStream fstream = new FileInputStream(myFile);

              DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream(fstream);

              byte[] byteArray = new byte[102400];

              for (int i=1;i!=noOfChunks;i++)
              {

                  xyz = in.skip(start);

                  System.out.println ("skipped :"+start);

                  in.readFully(byteArray, start, end);//This is
line no 133 here exception occurs

                  str = new String(byteArray);
                  sendData("0213456789_A~addressbook.txt~10~"+str);
                  start = end;
                  end = end+102398;
              }

          }
          catch (IOException ioe)
          {
              ioe.printStackTrace();
          }
     }

But when this method throws IndexOutOfboundException at line 133.
Actually I thought because of "in.readFully(byteArray, start, end);
"
It reads from start to end and store it to byteArray, but it is not
working like that.

Anybody knows what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
