 Hello,

I'm trying to use the MediaScannerConnection class to update my
external audio content provider.

I download an MP3 file to:

/sdcard/Music/

When the download is complete I successfully scan it, but the file is
scanned to the internal audio content provider...

the uri looks like "/internal/audio/media/55".

Is there a way to control the content provider that the media scanner
scans to?

How can I get the directory of the file? If I need to read it back
from media player?

FileOutputStream fos=null;
OutputStream out=null;
try
{

fos=mActivity.openFileOutput(fName,mActivity.MODE_WORLD_WRITEABLE );
                out =(OutputStream)(fos);
                out.write(s.getBytes());
                out.close();
                fos.close();
                out=null;
                fos=null;
        }
catch(Exception e)
        {
                //      AlertDialog.show(, title, iconId, message, button1Text,
button1Listener, button2Text, button2Listener, cancelable,
cancelListener)
        }

2. Is Runnable no longer supported by android.view.Menu?

I see it in the description of of some menu methods as if a Runnable
is going to be called if one exists.

However I don't see an "add" method adding a runnable to the menu item.

Any thoughts

Thanks
