Perhaps it's crazy thing I'm asking.
The Android developers say that it's an absolutely open platform. Does
it mean one can use pointer actions in java on every telephone, even
if the telephone was not meant to be a touch screen?

1. Help! How to collect logs on a real G1?

Hi All,

As you know, LogCat can be used to watch/dump logs on an emulator, but
how can I do it on a real device like G1?

And I know if I connect the phone to PC and take G1 as simply a debug
terminal, LogCat will be still working, but that is not what I am
looking for.

I wish no matter the phone is connected to PC or not, the logs will be
generated and written to specified location.

Any comments are really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 for kernel 2.6.27 and above?
