Sean, how are your Ruby or .NET skills?
There're 2 libs - Watir and WatiN which can automate Internet Explorer
*VERY* easily. WatiN also has a recorder, which records code, which
can then be replayed - but the thing is that the recorder is a bit
outdated now. If you feel comfortable with Ruby or .NET you could
write a screen scraper in no more than an hour.
If I get to get more sales and start having the need for such a screen
scraper (that is, make 1 force close bug to get a few more sales for
me, what are friends for :P) I'll write on and share it on the list,
but for now I really don't have the need :(

'm not aware of any tool for C++, but basically watir uses late
binding/IDispatch to control IE and exposes an even simpler interface
to control it, e.g.:

require "watir"
ie = Watir::IE.new
ie.goto "http://www.google.com/"
ie.text_field(:name, "q").set "android" # "q" is the name of the search field
ie.button(:name, "btnG").click

Here's a link to watir: http://wtr.rubyforge.org/

1. Get current activity from Service

Is it possible to get the currently running activity through

i.e. I have a service started by an Activity A, and now I want to stop
the service by another activty say Activity B.

Since Activity B doesnt know about the service, i want to capture the
events in OnKeyDown() of the Activity B in my service...

Is this possible..??? How can i get the Activity B's object..?

2. Having a lot of problems finding the documentation (e.g. about sendevent)

Is it just me or is it really difficult to get information
about certain Android features?

Currently I wanted to understand, what exactly can be done with the
adb shell command 'sendevent'

I even fail performing a very simple test, which is to press a key in
the emulator.

For debugging and ome other purposes I would like to press keys and
perform touch screen events from the developing system and send them
to either the emulator or a device connected via the adb.

Somehow I am very unfortunate locating the adequate documentation.

Thanks in advance for a good place to start
