Does TalkBack work on the emulator? If so how can I get it to run
automatically?

1. Novatel Wireless Modem

Hi friends,

I am trying to port Android on SAMSUNG NC10 and in order to have an
internet connection I am going to use Novatel Wireless Modem... For
that reason I have made some experiments on ubuntu and was able to do
a connection directly by using pppd, which required ttyUSB device
depending on the modules usbserial.ko and option.ko....

I tried to configure the kernel of android by adding
CONFIG_USB_SERIAL=m and CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_OPTION=m... Although there
was no problem at the building phase, there occured the following
errors at the loading phase of modules in to the out/ .... files:

[ERROR] usbserial : Unknown symbol usb_serial_disconnect
[ERROR] usbserial : Unknown symbol usb_serial_probe
[ERROR] usbserial : Unknown symbol usb_serial_register

and some more of them...

Does anyone have an idea about the situation... ???

Regards...

2. Using Gmail content provider

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any information on accessing the
Gmail content provider. It doesn't seem to be officially supported in
the API but it looks like people are able to do this regardless. See
the SlideScreen app which notifies you of new e-mail and even shows
you info (sender, title).

It would be great to know how this is accomplished, for example we
could create a home screen widget that shows you your last few e-
mails, etc.
