Does SDK 1.1 support an easy way for me to know what network data is
sent/received?

not currently, but a future version of the emulator will allow you to dump
the network traffic to a libpcap-formatted file that can be analyzed with
WireShark and other tools.

SDK Network Snifing

What will be good is to have some high-level protocol sniffing as well,
built-into the SDK. I am sure most people want to sniff their HTTP traffic,
and have no idea how to use a low-level tool such as WireShark.

I've been signing onto my wireless network (with g1) and using
ettercap to sniff with no problems.

WireShark does that *very* well, and there is no point in reinventing the
wheel in the SDK :-)

Note that this bug is for a different thing (i.e. being able to *quantify*
the amount of network data per application/interface).
It will probably require some system/framework changes, rather than SDK
ones.

1. Cannot on wifi in Android ported on BeagleBoard

I've successfully ported android 2.3 onto BB.
However wifi cannot be switched on and doing a netcfg shows that there
are only lo and USB, both which are down too.
I'm using a Belkin G Wireless Network Adapter which depends on rt73.
What I'm confused about is how do you compile the driver needed for
it.
rt73 created.
How are the folders "/system/lib/modules" and "/system/etc/firmware"
made?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions. I'm quite new to all these...
Can someone help me out with these issues?
Thanks.
