1. G1/Android firmware-updates/-upgrades?

Hi there,

there's one question till now I didn't found any answer to: Will there
be any (automated) software-/firmware-updates/-upgrades for Android?

At Apple/the iPhone that part is very clear (and multiple profen/
shown) to me. But with the G1 ("G2", etc.): Will this be the part of
every "Brander" (T-Mobile, NTT, etc.)? If I take a look at the current
situation with "normal" branded mobilephones and smartphones (from
Sony-Ericsson, Nokia, HTC, etc.) it's a very hard job to jet updates/
upgrades. Sometimes you have to whipe out the branded firmware of the
provider and search for newer version on dangerous hacking sites. How
is theis going to work at Android? I don't want to buy an new phone to
get Android v 1.1 or 2.0 or something like that neither want to wait
for T-Mobile to "translate" a new unbranded Android version into a
branded - six months later. If there won't be a clear, simple and
uniformly procedure that will be a major drawback for me - and I also
think for many pro-users...

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english - I'm a german Jhonny... ;)
