Salam kenal dari nubilos (nubi masi polos),

Baru dapet N1 seken yang udah di root, dan saya cek , trus mau di
reset. Sudah dilakukan langkah berikut:

setting>privacy>factory data reset>reset phone>erase everything.

Lalu dia restart otomatis, tapi rupanya app2 yg ada gk keapus, alias
masih teguh berdiri di layar.

Jadi ane sekarang kebingungan tak punya pegangan... :'((

Mohon pencerahannya...

ps.
Sempet kepikiran semalem jangan2 OS Android 2.1 ini udah menjadi
Artificial Intelligence, dgn kemampuan self-aware dan self-learning
sehingga menolak perintah dari luar. Alias menjadi independen. Keren.

Untuk data dikau seperti settingan gmail terhapus tidak ?
Lebih baik lakukan wipe di recovery dengan memilih wipe data/factory data
reset.

1. Is it possible to damage the Accelerometer through code?

I recently received a comment in the market by someone claiming that
my app has caused the accelerometer in their phone to stop
functioning. I'm taking this comment with a grain of salt, but I
thought I would post a message and see if this is possible in any way
shape or form, or if any other developers have heard of this from any
of their users. I am highly doubtful that this is the case as I have
used my own personal phone to test each of my applications and I've
probably abused it much more than some users, and it still works fine.

I did receive an email from a user, on my first app, stating that the
application did not respond to any movements. The indivual ended up
getting a replacement phone as their accelerometer was deemed
defective.

The code in all my applications only register the accelerometer and
orientation sensors. When the application is killed or paused, I
unregister them just to be sure.

Anyways, no one has emailed me to say that their accelerometer has
been damaged so I'm not too worried, but I'd like to take the
neccessary steps if it is possible, or at least provide a warning to
the user.

2. WifiService holding a wake lock, my poor G1 can't sleep

(FWIW, this is the right group - with android-discuss it's hard to be wrong).

On the one hand filing a bug would generally be the right thing to do.

On the other hand this is an area of the code that has had a lot of
improvements already since the last release, so the answer you're most
likely to get is "probably fixed in the next major release" with no
further action.
