 Hi:

Thanks for reading my post.

How can I terminate TranslateAnimation before its reach the
destination and immediately start a FrameAnimation at the position of
which the TranslateAnimation has been terminate.

What I am trying to do is to apply a translate animation on textview,
and make TextView more across the screen. I can click on screen (at
any where but not necessarily on TextView) any time to terminate the
translate animation earlier and start a frame animation at the
position where the translate animation has been terminated, e.g
loading a fireworks frame animation.

I am new to android, can some one help please.

Many thanks

1. Limit the size of a ScrollView

Hi,

I am using a ScrollView as a child of an AbsoluteLayout to display a
list of items inside this AbsoluteLayout. Because the ScrollView is
embedded in the AbsoluteLayout's design, I want to restrict it's size
to fit the assigned area. Is there any way to set the height of the
ScrollView or of the RelativeLayout that is the child of my
ScrollView?

My layout.xml (with just the important tags):

<AbsoluteLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent" />
<...some TextViews...>

     <ScrollView android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content">
        <RelativeLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content">
            <...some TextViews that I want to be able to scroll, all
with wrap_content...>
        </RelativeLayout>
     </ScrollView>

<...again, some TextViews in the main layout...>
</AbsoluteLayout>

To make it clearer, I have uploaded two images of what I am trying to
do:

2. No ticks when using AlertDialog.setMultiChoiceItems with cursor

I am trying to display a dialog containing checkbox items using the version
of setMultiChoiceItems that takes a cursor. Everything works fine except
when I press the checkbox it doesn't change visually (I don't see the
tick). If I close the dialog box and re-open it the tick is there and the
table in the database is being updated correctly. So why no tick? Here's
the code:

new AlertDialog.Builder(this)
            .setIcon(R.drawable.ic_menu_add)
            .setMultiChoiceItems(c, DbAdapter.KEY_IS_PINNED,
DbAdapter.KEY_TITLE, new OnMultiChoiceClickListener() {
                public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int which,
boolean isChecked) {
                    c.moveToPosition(which);
                    long id = c.getLong(0);
                    mDb.setPinnedContext(id, isChecked);
                }
            })
            .setPositiveButton("Okay", new OnClickListener() {
                public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int which) {
                    dialog.dismiss();
                    c.close();
                    fillData();
                }
            })
            .show();
