 Hello Everyone,

I am linking a 3rd party static library from the executable module. I
have added following extra line in executable Android.mk file.

LOCAL_PREBUILT_LIBS := GPS_Lib.a
include $(BUILD_MULTI_PREBUILT)
LOCAL_STATIC_LIBRARIES := \
                       GPS_Lib

While building the executable module i got following warning and it
didnt build the executable.

LOCAL_BUILT_MODULE and LOCAL_INSTALLED_MODULE must not be defined by
component makefiles.  Stop.

Is there anything else i need to do ?
Where i should put 3rd party static library?

Regards
krish

Integrating 3rd party static library

 Thanks a lot girish, i was able to resolve this issue by following the link.

I saw that build executable are getting generated in three locations :
"out/target/product/generic/obj/EXECUTABLES/GPS_intermediates/LINKED/GPS"
"out/target/product/generic/symbols/system/bin/GPS"
"out/target/product/generic/obj/EXECUTABLES/GPS_intermediates/GPS"

Which executable it will consider for final rootfs image?

Thanks and regards,
krish

 I think there should be one more: out/target/product/generic/bin/GPS?If yes,
that's the one built into final image.

1. Preference and type

I am experiencing the same issue. My app. requires an INT number returned
from EditTextPreference, any way to make sure that the input for
EditTextPreference is an INT before it returns to app.?

2. How to programmatically disable the soft keyboard?

My app has a simple number pad dialog for entering data into an
EditText. I want to use that instead of the soft keyboard. How can I
keep the soft keyboard from displaying when a user clicks on the
EditText? I really don't wan to go the thru the hassle of developing
a full blown InputMethod service, etc.

Thanks! :-)
