 Why is this "urgent"? Who's life depends on it?

Google for "Android Javascript" and look at WebView.

1. Start a new feature & Google SampleCode

Hi Guys,

I got the following prob'
When I want 2 develop sth new, I look in my emulator in "API Demos"
and try 2 find a app what has a feature I want 2 implement in my app.

Then I try 2 search on Google API Demos
to find the matching code. (sometimes it's not available >_<)

when I found the .java file...
then I have 2 search for every ressource... (xml, drawables,
layouts... )
And even this isnt rly complete I think...
(otherwise its killing my time to find every single component)

....another possibility is to ask in forums...
but except from anddev and the google-mail-group there arent other

So... my question to you is:
How do u proceed when u want 2 develop sth new?
(looking in the javadoc isnt quiet enough I think =/ )

...when anyone knows some ressources... please let me know!

2. android.hardware.Camera - JPEG image of correct size but always black

I am standing a bit in the dark with the android.hardware.Camera

What I tried to do is taking a picture without starting preview first:
            Camera mCamera =;
            mCamera.takePicture(null, null, mPictureCallback);

In the callback routine I get JPEG data of fixed length, always 52K
long. It has the right resolution but it's all black (independent of
the real object!!). Do you know if this is a bug? Do I need to start a
preview before taking a picture? Can this be done from within a
service (no activity)?
