Got an app in the marketplace, and running on my phone (only one).

When I work on bug fixes/etc, like to test on the phone. Currently, I
need to adb uninstall the production/marketplace app, since it won't
let me install from eclipse onto the device with the different
packages (signed versus debug)

Does anyone have any tips/tricks on how to run a debug/dev version of
the app on the same device without having to uninstall the marketplace

1. Change setting for Caller ID???

I'd like to be able to show/hide my phone number 'on the fly'
depending on which number is being called.

I've worked out I need to listen for
android.intent.action.NEW_OUTGOING_CALL and can use EXTRA_PHONE_NUMBER
to get the number. OK so far (I think).

I then want to check to see if the number is in my Contacts list and
if it's not, force a popup dialog with an option to change my call
settings to hide my number.

My phone has this option in Settings -> Call -> Additional Settings ->
Caller ID which gives me options for Network Default | Hide number |
Show number but I can't find out how to do this from within an android

Any help gratefully received.

2. Do bugs/problems in bluetooth SPP profile of HTC Desire affect Bluetooth Chat sample app?

I am using the Bluetooth Chat sample app from android website. I want
to send a long message in the format <MSG><N>xxx<!N><V>yyy<!V><!MSG>
(xxx-name of the message, yyy-value of the message) and receive it on
the other side and display on my phone (HTC Desire). I will parse this
message further, extract few things and use it for my app.

I am not able to receive all the characters in the above message (few
characters get randomly omitted). Is it because of a problem in the
InputStream "read" method of the bluetooth socket or that the
bluetooth SPP profile has bugs and problems in HTC Desire or any other
reason? I have tried the InputStream to be a byte buffer, a char
buffer and then create a string out of the buffer contents (using
normal new String, StringBuilder and StringBuffer). But somehow I am
not able to display the entire message as shown above on my phone.

Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
