 Hi,
Is it possible to store my APK file on the phone / SD card and run it
from there? and how would I go about doing that?

I'm not using a standard Android handset - I'm using a HTC Vogue with
Android installed over the top (followed these instructions http://bit.ly/AnUKz
).

The build I have doesn't have USB support and the only links I can
find to running an Android app is via this method.

Alternately is there a testing portion to the android market where
only I can have access?

I'm really lost on how to get my application onto my phone - it runs
fine in the emulators.

Cheers in advance,
Simon

I think there are some "explorer" type apps available that browse
through the SD card and will install APKs if you choose them.
Unfortunately, I don't know any by name. Assuming your device has WiFi,
you would need to be able to download the APK off of a Web site that is
properly configured vis a vis MIME type, in which case the APK will install.

2. getImageResource() - getting the resource id for an ImageView...

You could make your own subclass that keeps track of the id.

Since there are many cases were an ImageView isn't displaying a resource at
all (or can't know that what it is displaying came from a resource if it
did), having an API to get that seems a little questionable.
