I tried to install my application from the market once and got that error,
then I completely removed the previous version I had and installed again
from the market, it installed fine but for some really strange reason it
wasn't able to connect to Internet.

I removed the app from my phone again and installed the unsigned one from
Eclipse and it worked fine. At the beginning I thought that the version I
released was broken in some way but I didn't get any complain about not
being able to connect. So I think it was caused by using different
signatures.

1. reduce system image size

Hi All,

I have ported Froyo 2.2.1_r1 to Custom Hardware. I'm able to boot the
hardware with File system on USB/ File System on NFS.
I want to try the root file system on Flash. But our board flash size
is 64MB and where as froyo File system size is around 60MB. So i want
to reduce the size of system.img size. For that i want to remove some
unused applications from system.img. I have tried by removing
applications from ~/build/target/product/generic.mk. But hardly image
size reduces. Has anyone ever tried reducing the system image size. If
so please let us know how to do.

Regards,
Sreenath

2. New Android Market client - which phones?

Ok, so my Samsung Galaxy S running 2.2 updated to the new Market app
yesterday.

Two phones with Android 2.1 are still running the old version.

Is the new Market app only for 2.2 and later? Anyone have info on this?
Or seeing it on a pre-2.2 phone?
