I made the below changes in the android 2.0 source code and able to
create 1024x600 screen size on emulator..

when I download android-2.1_r2 source code, in that I could not find
kernel-headers folder, so not able to make the above changes.
I manually downloaded the kernel-headers using:
git clone git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/external/kernel-headers

and then made the changes but it did not worked.

Please help me as I need to create 1024x600 in android 2.1

 Hi All,

1024x600 or 1024x768 or 1366x768 same screen size behaviour on android ?

Why this ok ?

Some side effect happen with several applications ?

Thanks & Regards
Deepak

1. Nexus GPS antenna is always active when "Use GPS Satellites" is checked...

My company just got the Nexus last week to develop on. It's a nice
phone, but something has me seriously concerned.

Whenever the "Use GPS Satellites" option is selected in the Settings
(Settings->Location & Security), the GPS antenna immediately starts
searching for a lock, and won't shut off until it has one. What
application/phone subsystem is doing that? How do I disable that
application without turning off the GPS antenna? Is the GPS antenna
just getting ephemeris information?

Also, if I have the "Use wireless networks" option selected, the
Location Consent form pops up asking me to give Google permission to
collect my location information. Can't use the network for a location
fix without agreeing to that.

The idea that I'm required to share location information with Google
to get my location off of the network is scary enough (and intrusive I
might add), but the constant use of the GPS antenna is really screwing
with my power consumption.

Thanks.

2. File Dialog?

Is there something like a FileDialog available? From previous threads,
it appears there isn't one.

If not, has someone written one?

I want to allow a user to
a) Specify a folder/filename on storage for creating an SQLite
database.
b) Specify an existing file/folder on storage card for opening as an
SQLite Database.

Thanks
