Is JavaFX running on Android?

 Today at JavaOne keynote which I attended in person, Sun proclaimed
JavaFX runs on Android:

Disappointingly, the entire demo was a single screen (see above URL)
and I don't recall the demo person even did anything to the app.

I have not yet looked into JavaFX too closely so I don't think what to
think of it other than disappointed that their demo didn't really do
anything.  What do you think?

Is JavaFX running on Android?

 This should be interesting. Since the other RIA vendors (adobe, msft etc.,)
have not announced any news porting to android, Sun seems to be the first
one doing it FX.

Whether FX can capitalize the early mover advantage and attract developers,
only Sun can tell.

1. Contacts.apk

I'm completely new in android environment. So, I want to ask for a
solution which is probably very noobish question to you people. :D

I want to replace the contacts.apk file in system/app/ . I go through
"adb remount" and then push. But when I reboot emulator, everything is
default. So, how can I change the system files in emulator (e.g. i
want to change the color of status bar or change the dialer background
and whatever.)

I'm using android 2.1 emulator.

2. file handling : reading a file in internal storage

hey guys,

The following is my code:

              OutputStreamWriter out2 = new
OutputStreamWriter(openFileOutput("myfilename2.txt",1));
              sa_lt="3 2 1";
              out2.write(sa_lt);
              // close the file
              out2.close();
              InputStreamReader in2 = new
InputStreamReader(openFileInput("myfilename2.txt"));
              in2.read(buf,0,5);
              sa_lt = String.valueOf(buf);
              status.setText(sa_lt);
              in2.close();

I get null in 'buf' (the buffer i.e). I have defined it as private char[]
buf on the top.

Why m I getting this error. Does anyone happen to know.

Please enlighten.

Thanks,

Abhyudai
