Did anyone try API demos on the SDK?

I have a problem with playing http stream video on the emulator. I use
the MediaPlayerDemo_Video class in "android-sdk-windows-1.1_r1\samples

I change the path to some but all I get is
Prepare failed: status=0xffffffff which does not mean anyhing for me.

Since I am just using the example provided by the SDK itself, I count
the code as a correct one.

But 2 questions:

1- Does the emulator can play video?
2- If it does which extensions and are there any other restrictions

Any comment or suggestion appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

It does not override onSaveInstanceState() and does not seem to work.

2. Subclassing Animation

Hi, I'd like to subclass Animation in order to get an animation that
changes the clipRect of the canvas passed to a particular custom view
instead of messing with the matrix of that canvas.

The reason for this, is that I want to animate a partially obscured
bitmap up to display it fully.

So, say I have a bitmap 100x100 px, and at the start of the animation,
I want to start out displaying the top 100x50px of it, so the clipRect
will be of the size 100x50.

I want to move the clipRect 50px up, and add 50 px to it's size, but
it looks like both the scale and translate animations just change the
matrix, so I wind up displaying the same 100x50px area, but stretched
to fit in in whatever space.

Anyway, what's the best way of accomplishing this?
