How to know if we are in home screen?
For a USAT GCF case i need to know this.
Is there a way to know this?
Atleast can we get a reference to the top most activity in the
activity stack maintained by andriod?
This information will be very helpful.

Thanks InAdvance

1. Android 2.0 (eclair) source

Any idea when the eclair source will be available via git?
If I try to init a repo with "-b eclair" I get an error stating that
the manifest is missing.
If I init a repo to head there doesn't seem to be much/any eclair code
in there.

Why do I ask? Well, the docs looks like they're still in the process
of being updated (fair enough) but certain methods that have now been
deprecated don't seem to have been replaced with ones that perform
similar tasks - I need to browse the source so I can find out how to
get my application working against this new build.

(I got the following init command from

$ repo init -u git:// -b

2. Screen Sizes with 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0

Hey guys,

I've got a quick question about screen size support. Currently, I've
got an application that is rockin' along just fine on 1.5 and 1.6.
Today the client called and says they want to run on Droid. While I've
downloaded the 2.0 SDK, I'm a little wary of compiling against it.
Will it break 1.5 and 1.6 compatilbility? How will the "medium" phones
(G1, MyTouch) know to use those layouts?

I imagine this is a pretty rudimentary question so if it's in a doc
somewhere, can someone point me in the right direction?
