I have tested on the simulator motorola provides and on various
hardware (Droid, Nexus One, G1,wildfire) but can't reproduce anything.
Wondering if anyone else has had any issues.

Anyone have reports of their app not drawing correctly on a Droid X?

I had several reports of my main app malfunctioning on the Droid X, it
was supposed to be a problem with panning. I managed to get my hands
on a unit to test the issue and it turned out to be nothing. From my
tests, the Droid X responds exactly like the Droid, same screen size
(pixel dimensions anyway) too.

It could be that the user is the one malfunctioning, it was in my
case. If your app tests out on the Droid, you are probably good to go.

I have had about a dozen reports (and zero on any other phone) so I
imagine something screwy is going on but I can't image what. Several
people have said it only happened after the last OS upgrade

The Droid X hasn't had an OS upgrade yet, so perhaps your users are
either confused (likely) or are reporting the wrong device to you.

1. SDK 1.5 WebView Problem

Hello,
I have been working on SDK 1.0 and developed a small browser
application which works fine on sdk 1.0.
While migrating to sdk 1.5 it shows some weird behavior.
After loading 10-15 websites, it stops working.
When I see logs it says - "I/InetAddress( 933): Unknown host <URL
(e.g. www.google.com)>, throwing UnknownHostException"
and then for every website it gives same error.

Moreover default web browser application too stop working and gives
same log. killing and restarting the app also does not work.
I have to restart emulator and then it works fine. but again if I
browser through 10-15 sites same thing happens.

Is anyone has any clue?

Please help as I am stuckup here and not getting any way out.

Thanks
Irfan

2. Received UDP DatagramPacket's HostAddress is always 10.0.2.2. How do I find the sender of the packet?

So here's what I'm trying to do:

Real device at 192.168.1.102 sends UDP broadcasts to
255.255.255.255:31071
Emulator:
redir add udp:31071:31071
Emulator receives UDP broadcasts on 0.0.0.0:31071.

This all works correctly, and I'm happy about it.

The next step is for the emulator to find out where the broadcast came
from and connect to a TCP port on it.

The real device is listening for a connection at TCP
192.168.1.102:31071

Here's the problem:

On the emulator, the DatagramPacket's getHostAddress() is returning
10.0.2.2. This confuses me because isn't that method supposed to be
telling me where the packet came from? It seems to me that it's being
rewritten by NAT or it's telling me where it was received, which would
make sense.

What I need is the IP of the sender of the packet.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
