 I would like to extend the useful run time for my G1.

If I swap in a second battery do I loose anything stored in a G1?

Also are you aware of a standalone battery charger for the batteries that go
in a G1?

No you wont loose anything by changing the battery.

And yes you can get standalone chargers that the batteries fit in.
I've seen them for like 4.99 or so on ebay.

1. Upload youtube videos by intent

Hello,

I googled this and found that the suggested way is as follows:

                Intent ii = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_SEND);
                ii.setType("video/3gp");
                ii.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_STREAM, uri);
                ii.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_TEXT, "Sample text" );
                ii.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_TITLE, "Mega video");
                startActivity(Intent.createChooser(ii, "kerker"));

But I found it will throw NullPointer exception finally. The reproduce
procedure is listed below:
1. Trigger the intent above.
2. Select the Youtube app that is in the popup dialog to enter Youtube
video upload page.
3. Input the video title and description.
4. Click "Upload" button.
5. Popup one error dialog.

The log stack trace is below. Could someone give me some suggestions
or ideas? Thanks in advance.

2. WebView and Linear Layout

Hi all

I am developing a web app for a tablet.

If I just place a WebView in the layout file it works fine except the
WebView doesn't fill the whole screen on the tablet.

If I then put the WebView in a Linear Layout on its own - the
application crashes on start up saying it was forced to close!

Any ideas on how to get a WebView to fill the whole screen?

Thanks
Gareth

PS - crashing layout file as follows

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/
android"
    android:orientation="vertical"
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<WebView  xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    android:id="@+id/webview"
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="fill_parent"
/>
</LinearLayout>
