 hi all,

so i tried to update a google map through httprequest.

However, I get a " org.apache.http.client.HttpResponseException:

The initial authorization gives a 200 OK. and I got my authtoken.

I then tried the url on a browser and i got a "map not api visible". I
checked that the property api_visible is 0.

I tried to create another map and make it public. The api_visible
property still remain 0.

How do i turn on this property or resolve these issues?

Has anybody update the google map using http request before?

This does not sound Android-specific. You may have more luck in a different,
online-Google-Maps-centric group or forum.

Thank you TreKing. I will post in the google map group.

At the meantime, I wonder is there someone out there who tried to use
http to update map. thanks

Other Threads

1. Calendar application issues-

I submitted a handful of different issues for enhancement to the
buglist (Items 4919-4924).

I think these are reasonable issues and not too difficult to do. I
would even take a stab, but it is not obvious to me yet how to grab
the applications package and get running. Is there a separate
applications group? Are there specific managers for each

Summary of issues-
  Start of day
Event time changing by 5 rather than 1 minute
Show some text in month view
  Goto date feature
Month mode navigation (LR instead of UD)
Calendar font/#hours in 1 day mode

Some things may be due to low resolution of previous phones. I can
see limiting the number of hours shown in 1 day view or not having
text on month view, but the Droid changes things a bit.

2. dev g1 not receiving location updates - sometimes

I am having problems with retrieving GPS location updates on the
unlocked dev g1 phone. I have a mapactivity and a location listener
which centers the map and performs some computation on the location.
This application works... sometimes. I'll be able to test and
benchmark the app for a couple days, then the next couple days I won't
receive a single location update. During one run of the app, I was
able to see that i received about 800 location updates (out of a
thousand), and then did not receive another until a few days later.
Nothing appeared in logcat to explain why no more location updates
were sent.

Today it's working and the log looks like this:
11-21 12:17:02.706: DEBUG/LocationManagerService(57):
_requestLocationUpdates: listener = android.os.binderpr...@43535160
11-21 12:17:02.706: DEBUG/GpsLocationProvider(57): setMinTime 500
11-21 12:17:02.776: INFO/MapActivity(18930): Handling network change
11-21 12:17:02.776: ERROR/MapActivity(18930): Couldn't get connection
factory client

3 minutes later ...
11-21 12:20:04.277: DEBUG/GpsLocationProvider(57): TTFF: 1046090
11-21 12:20:04.906: DEBUG/MyApp(18930): location update received

Can anyone explain why the application stops receiving updates for
days before it suddenly starts working again? Or perhaps could someone
tell me a better place for this question to be asked?
