is it possible to call the native image gallery intent and pass an image
uri (or s.th. else identifying an image) as
an intent's extra so that the gallery automatically scrolls to the
specific image?

or maybe something similar?

Rather than replying in a random unrelated thread, and changing the
subject, you should post a message in a new thread.

1. Determine notification bar height from a service

There is deliberately no API to do this. You can either let your content be
resized to account for it in a full-screen window, or let a dialog be
positioned by the window manager to account for it. The status bar is not
guaranteed to appear at a certain location of the screen, at only one
location, etc.

2. Using a ContentProvider with ItemizedOverlay?

Is there a way of using a ContentProvider with ItemizedOverlay? I don't
seem to see anything for setting an adapter, and it seems to me that
this would be an ideal way to display overlay items...

If not directly, then it's no big deal; I'm already planning on working around this issue, but I was just hoping there would be a simpler, more direct way of doing it. Thanks, Raymond -- Raymond Rodgers http://www.badlucksoft.com/ --
