Does anyone know if the ability to control the mp3 player via
bluetooth has been developed?

This would be a great item to include as when bluetooth stereo comes
out, the user could use their bluetooth car radio to controll the

1. native languages?

I did a lot of searching on this topic some months before the G1
release, and found a lot of people agreeing with me but nobody knowing
what was really going on... so, since it's the new year, I figured I'd
ask again - has/will there been any headway on getting other languages
(specifically c/c++ and ruby/python) to work natively on Android? I
understand all the reasons for using java atop of dalvik, but I don't
think any of them are sufficient for disallowing the developer & end-
user the freedom to run apps written in different languages. I know
the source code was (finally!) released shortly before the G1 launch,
so I'm assuming if Google isn't working on this, somebody else is? Any
word, or is there some place I should go to get info about this?

2. Finding My Location using Maps on G-1

This is less of a programming question, rather a functional question.
When I go to Maps and from the menu request "My Location" it takes
eternity for the phone to show my current location, like 30 minutes or
more. I tried this feature is several Dallas location, always with the
same results. Does anybody has a different experience? I was hoping to
see the change in my location when driving my car around, but I guess
I was just dreaming. Anybody has any comments on this feature?
