Engaging a Developer for Paid-For App development - Where to Look/Post?

 Hi

My company sells images via mobile operator portals like Sprint
Vision, VZW Pix. We want to launch a simple slide-show application in
the Android Market, but our normal go-to 'tame' developer is not
available. I'm not sure where the best place to look - I have searched
Craigslist, looked for directories, but not found any useful links or
resources for finding a developer. We have a budget for the
development costs - I mention this as I know that a lot of people are
looking for development to be undertaken on a revenue share or other
deferred compensation basis.

I am in Brooklyn, NY. Any pointers gratefully received, as are details
of any experienced developers with capacity to begin work in the next
month or so.

Thanks

Adam

 Hi Adam,

we could help, we are doing our own applications, but also doing
outsourcing.
So maybe we can come to a deal.

For some references about our work please do consider our website
www.itwizard.ro,
we have an application under Apache 2.0 license, that we registered
for ADC2 - you can check the code quality and the features also on our
webpage:

and code at  http://code.google.com/p/mezzofanti/

If it sounds good to you, we are looking forward for prj description
and budget if fixed one.

Best regards,

 Hi,

I am sure that if you post a job listing on your local newspaper or
craigslist, you will find somebody. After all anyone who knows java
should be able to pick up android quickly.
Plus a quick search of "android jobs" yielded quite a few results on
google.

Worked it out by using

2. Remove default margin inside WebView

There seems to be a default inner border in the WebView - it's about 6
pixels all round. How can this be removed so the size matches the
content?

Simple demo (target is Google API 1.6):

public class Main extends Activity {
    @Override
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.main);
        WebView webview = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.webview);

        String html = "<html><body><div style='border:1px #000
solid;width:240px;height:200px;'/>Test</div></body></html>";
        webview.loadData(html, "text/html", "utf-8");
    }
}

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/
android"
    android:orientation="vertical"
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="fill_parent"
    >
    <WebView
        android:id="@+id/webview"
            android:layout_height="200dip"
            android:layout_width="240dip"
            android:scrollbars="none"
        />
</LinearLayout>
