 Hi All,

    I'm trying to animate some text and have it scroll across the
screen but I can't seem to figure out how to do it and would like some
help if anyone is able to assist. Basically I just want to have text
that the user entered at another place in the app scroll across the
screen and when done scrolling it repeats and scrolls again. I'll
also need to be able to change the font and background colors as well
as size and if possible scroll speed.

Thanks ahead of time for the help.

1. Who feels the Magic may be a step in the wrong direction...

I had a discussion with someone today who raised the following question
which made me think the Magic may be in for a rough ride;

He said; "I can see the advantage of a G1, because it has a 'proper'
keyboard. But what's the advantage of a Magic over an iPhone?".

The point he was making was to a consumer that the physical devices are
essentially similar, with the iPhone possibly gaining the advantage by using
a standard 3.5" jack, more app storage space, and better styling, so that
leaves the OS as the main differentiator.

So do people think Android is ready to go head to head with the iPhone and
the other touch-screen Oses without a hardware advantage?

2. Adding native executable to system image

Hi All,

I am trying to add some native code executables and libs to system
image.
I am able to add a jni library, its Java classes and apk files for my
application at the time of system build, so it gets integrated in the
system image.

Can anyone help me add native executables to system image.

I have some exe files made for arm platform.
I am able to run them on Android by first pushing them emulator/device
using adb push command.

Now I do not want to push them manually, I want them to be integrated
with system image. Where do I place them in my open source code
repository so that it gets installed/integrated with Android's image
when I give the make command?

Kartic Grover
