Paid Apps in Canada

 That's exactly it, I think.

Since none of the Canadian Providers have adopted the Android so far,
there is no Canadian Paid Android Market. If/when there is a device
that supports the Canadian Infrastructure (mostly CDMA based, with
Rogers being the only GSM option), there will be apps. It's directly
related to the announcements we get about the various Android Markets
opening up.

I'm going to get a T-Mobie Prepaid this weekend for the sole purpose
of seeing what's happening in the US market, since it's too easy to
not care about my own backyard.

1. How much need I know about java?

Hi Everyone
I'm new to android. But I'm really interested about it. I've finished
the "hello Android" program and now I want to develop something new.
The documentation says "Applications are written using the Java
programming language€quot; but I wonder how much do I need to know about
java. I've learnt a little about JavaSE. Do I need to know more? Like
JavaEE or JaveME?
p.s. Do I need to know much about xml?
Thanks in advance!

2. Mock GPS and proximity alerts.

I have problems with proximity alerts. I'm doing a demo application
with the mock GPS.

The proximity alerts works with the mock GPS?, someone has tried it?.

There is some way to test where I am wrong?.

I'm using SDK M5, there is something strange?.
