I have an arm based platform running android.
There is a linux c sample application that captures from the camera
and dumps on the screen (i.e. hardware overlay).

Now when I run this application over an android application;
android refreshes the overlay area too.

Trying out different layouts for the overlay didnt help.

How do I avoid this refresh? (how to support hardware overlay)

1. SDK and NDK. Additional possibilities

Hello there,
I'm newbie in Android dev, so maybe my questions sound a little bit
stupid, but:
1) Is there some possibility to obtain additional SDK and NDK api?
(maybe some partners program or something else)
2) Are there any known SDK frameworks (interesting frameworks for
network solutions)
3) What kind of IPC between java and c/c++ app exists (exept JNI)
4) Is there any possibility to get kernel access or to get 'root'

2. Repo and Git

I am trying to get the source code of android into my linux. I am
using a visualized ubuntu 9.10 version under virtualbox.

Currently, I am in stage of initializing repo, but came to this
problem, right after i execute this command. repo init -u
