Is there a process to update the original developer unlocked G1 to the
latest firmware available?
I have:
Model Number: Android Dev Phone 1
Firmware version: 1.0
Baseband Version: 62.33.20.08H_1.22.12.29
Kernel Version: 2.6.25-01843-gfea26b0 android-bu...@apa27 #6
Build number: dream_devphone-userdebug 1.0 UNLOCKED 116222 test-keys

Would like to update to the latest version or even the tmobile
firmware if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. SQLiteOpenHelper

I was trying to do some SQLite stuff.

I looked at NotePadProvider in Samples. I understood that this class
is probably instantiated through provider tag in manifest. I am a
little confused how can I use this externally. For example if i wrote
my content provider class, and provide the provider tag in manifest,
my database will be created / opened on start of my application ?

If yes, where is in NotePad project this class is used ? for example
adding more records, delete edit ? I did a ctrl + shift + G for
NotePadProvider, it only pointed to one instance of usage that too in
the comment.

Please throw more light to simplify things

2. Webkit Plugins in 2.0

What is the official story on Plugins in WebView/webkit in the Eclair
release?
Apparently, not only did some classes get deprecated, but they also
return empty data now.
There is however plugin support in the Android webkit, and there's is
also the PluginStub interface.
But how do plugins get installed now?

Thanks,
Michael
