How to manage storage on a G1 Dev Phone?

What I think happened is that I filled up storage, i.e., used up all the free
space.

So how do I see how much free space is available and if it is partitioned or
not on a G1?

Sorry about that. Hopefully this is in its own thread.

 Two ways;

I don't understand what you mean by "if it is partitioned or not on a
G1?"... It is definitely "partitioned"... all DREAM devices ship with
the same partition layout.

If you want more space for installations, install a "cyanogenmod"
firmware and make a second (ext2/3) partition on your sdcard.

1. Dealing with CPU-hogging processes

This is not strictly a developer question, but it's technical enough
that I don't know where else to ask it.

For a while now I have been running "top" on my HTC Magic whenever I
suspect it of using more CPU then normal, and often I see some process
constantly using CPU (From 10% to 80% in some cases). Sometimes its
system_server, sometimes it's com.android.browser or com.htc.album.

Is there any way to deal with this except restarting? Because a
program I write is not allowed to kill other applications I suspect?

Is there something that can be done by Android itself and if so will
this problem be fixed in later versions? Or is it only a matter of
application developers writing better code?

2. Why the method IWindowManager.setRotation can't do the right thing ?

Hi, this is not a part of the SDK, and is not intended to be used from
outside of the window manager.
