 Hi Friends,

Did anyone try playing audio/video through http/rtsp. I am having a
problem with either of the approach....
I am getting an error Command PLAYER_INIT completed with PVMFError
I some cases I got
Command PLAYER_INIT completed with
PVMFErrorContentInvalidForProgressiveDownoload.

Can some one explain what is the problem.
The code snippet I am using is given below...

-----------------------
--------------
VideoView mVideoView = (VideoView) findViewById(---------);
 mVideoView.setVideoPath(" http://192.168.1.143 :8080/3.3gp");
            mVideoView.setMediaController(new MediaController(this));
            mVideoView.requestFocus();
            mVideoView.start();

The code works fine when I say
mVideoView.setVideoPath("/sdcard/vv.3gp");
but not able to play if I give a rtsp/http urls

In case of http it says PVMFErrorContentInvalid for progressive
download....

Can some body tell me what is the problem.
Can you please post the code if someone has been successful in playing
audio/video through http/rtsp.....

Thanks & Regards

1. Ant build for android-1.5/samples

What is the cookbook way to build the sample apps in the android-1.5/
samples SDK directory. There are not any ant build.xml scripts. I
tried "android create project" using the samples directory but that
gave me an error saying the directory already existed and then
proceeded to overwrite things strings.xml. So that was clearly NOT
the right thing to do.

I thought it would be nice to build the samples and play with them.
How do I do that? I'm looking for the non-Eclipse way using ant - but
I don't see how to do it with Eclipse either.

2. Adding users for OEM native cod

What if I want to add another oemuser, similar to "radio" such that I
can support neato_oem_widgit or neato_oem_daemon? How do I do this in
Android such that I can better architect areas of code that need
privileged execution from those that do not, e.g. such as in the
following:

http://nob.cs.ucdavis.edu/bishop/secprog/

http://www.aquaphoenix.com/ref/gnu_c_library/libc_438.html

I am currently running neato_oem_daemon as root. I want to reduce its
privilege level to "oemuser", to better sandbox it, restrict the files
it can read/write, and give it it's own system properties, etc.
However, reading the the current warnings about changing the AID list
in private/android_filesystem_config.h make it seem that adding such a
user is not possible.

What is the best way to do this (use setuid, restrict files for
oem_daemon, impart system properties to oem_daemon) in the bowls of
Android without messing up more widespread platform assumptions about
user IDs?

Thanks,
Dan
