hello, its me again, ok im getting annoyed with a seemingly pointless
problem im having,
im trying to get ehe driver for the wl1251 wifi in my n900 working -
the module loads, calibration load etc but android wifi subsystem will
not scan for networks (keeps saying unable to scan) yet i can use
wpa_cli myself via adb to scan and retrieve the list of networks quite
hapily.

any ideas appreciated and i can post logcat output etc if needed

You've gone through the Wifi setup steps and created the necessary
sockets for wpa_supplicant to operate and all that?

wpa supplicant works fine if i launch it in a adb shell session and i
can then connect via wpa_cli and execute commands, just seems the
android ui isnt doing the same and it does throw errors related to
wpa_supplicant but i cant see why it does

1. Sending Unicode characters in unit tests?

Hi,

I have been using InstrumentaionTestCase.sendKeys(String) for typing
text into text boxes in our app.
This works fine for english charaters but now I need to type Chinese
(unicode) characters which does not work. It just skips the unicode
charaters.

If I use the chinese keyboard on Emulator, then also it sends only
english characters and I have to select chinese from the suggestions.
Is there a way to simply type chinese like sendKeys() works for
english?

Thanks
Yasser

2. Orientation Change effect on Spinner control

I was trying the API Demos that come along with Android SDK v1.5
If you select an item in a spinner widget and change the orientation
of the phone twice the selection goes.

I am having similar problem in my app, I just checked the Demo app and
the behaviour appears to be same. When you change the orientation say
from Portrait to Landscape the text you selected is there, do it once
more and the first item in the list appears as selected option.

Is it a bug or is it that we explicitly need to maintain state with a
spinner control?
