Are translation tools available?

 Hej,

I am just going through a translation of resource files and I am
wondering if there is additional support.

At the moment I have both the base strings.xml and the localised
version opened parallel in Eclipse. This quite works, but I am
thinking of the following tools:

- Showing both (or more) versions of a key together
- Showing missing keys in a version
- Integrating a lookup service (Google Translate, Wikipedia)

I didn't find anything like this, is such a tool available?

Bye

 Hi,

Not really what you're looking for: never seen such complete tool unluckyly
so we endede with some custom scripts. My practise shows that:

is wrong approach unless you want to end with crappy translation
that would make natives laughing their head off. Therefore we never
do the translation into any language we can't speak or proofread.
GT helps getting the picture, but I'd never use it as the trustworthy
source

This is quite easy. There's short PHP script which you can use for that:

2. Anyone seen any Android apps been copied for the iPhone ...

Well, I mentioned this before and I was told that I was "offending a
developer" for saying that an application looked really bad for $4.99
I've seen many applications on the Android Market that barely do something.
My #1 complain about the market is the lack of polished applications. I
mean, there are a lot of good applications but at the same time a lot of
applications that makes you feel that you lost time downloading that. More
if you actually bought it. Not to mention a lot of old java games ported to
Android that make you feel like using an older phone.

Also the Market lacks a good featured section. Weekly tops, Google
recommends/T-Mobile/Whatever, you call it. Just look at those iPhone
commercials showing you really cool applications that actually make people
go and buy stuff.

Also on the list is:
- Web based market (apps can be perfectly pushed to your phone, so no need
for desktop/sync stuff)
- Market share. Android is selling very well but we just need more phones
and countries. In Canada and Chile people still have no idea what Android
is.
- Market redesign - I have much more fun browsing the AppStore with
screenshots, better comments, better categories.
